It's an abused term because it's used against "ricer" mods like BOV's (before you have enough HP to need them) and lights and things of this sort, but at the same time it's overlooked by the same members who use it in terms of true performance mods.

Mod for a purpose, I believe, means to do modifications for peak performance. i.e. If you're going to buy a product, buy the one that works best (if you want an intake, get JWT). In this sense, if everyone truely modded for a purpose, everyone would have HKS Hiper exhausts because it provides the most horsepower gains. An exhaust is simply a method of carrying exhaust gasses away from the engine, and HKS Hiper does this the most efficiently. When did it become as much of a cosmetic mod as a performance mod?

For this reason, between your very limited choices, I pick LaBree because it's a better flowing exhaust than B&B, and flowing is what exhausts are meant to do. While B&B, in your opinion, may look better, it doesn't do its job as well as LaBree.
